I am so thrilled to be a part of the fundraising efforts for the 2017 Walk to Defeat ALS. The amazing team at the Greater Sacramento Chapter of The ALS Association raises more than $300,000 to provide support services as well as fund research to find a cure. I am honored to be a part of this team.
Each year the ALS Association of Sacramento find new and creative ways to provide better support, raise more funds and have even a little more fun. This year is no different. As the Motivation & Wellness Chairperson, I have helped design a whole new wellness program to support our team, our walkers and our business community! I am so excited to be to use my time and energy to raise funds for ALS by way of fitness, nutrition, and motivational coaching. We are ready to serve those who support our fight for a cure in a fun new way!
We are providing all the tools our team needs to improve their health and fitness as well as lower our stress and anxiety. We have 5 Coach B. Community Walks planned this Fall and a 5 Point Energy Guide!
Every person who achieves $75 in donations will a be invited to all 5 community walks, receive a Coach B. Energy Guide and get an awesome ALS Walk Tee Shirt – FREE!
Why We Need Your Help
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer. In the mean time it costs an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
